How We Verify This Directory

Every store in our directory is checked against the state it's actually located in before it's published, and we only display details (phone number, rating, reviews, address, or hours) that we actually hold for that specific store, rather than filling gaps with an assumption or a sitewide average.

What Does "Verified" Mean Here?

Concretely: we check that a listing's location genuinely matches the state its page claims, and we exclude entries that turn out to be a different kind of business entirely: a package pickup locker or a mainstream retail chain that got swept into the same search a bin store would have been, rather than an actual bin store. A listing only stays in the directory once it clears both checks.

What Do We Show, and Why Does It Sometimes Look Incomplete?

We show a store's city, phone number, rating, and customer reviews whenever we hold them. Street addresses and posted hours are populated for a smaller share of listings than we'd like, and we're actively working through that gap rather than guessing at an address or hours to make a listing look more complete than it is. If a detail isn't shown on a store's card, we don't have it confirmed yet. That's a deliberate choice, not an oversight.

What Don't We Do?

  • We don't publish a sitewide average price, discount percentage, or restock schedule as if it applied to every store. Those vary by location, and we show them per-store only when we actually have them confirmed.
  • We don't count the same store twice under two different states.
  • We don't invent a review, a rating, or an operating detail for a listing that doesn't have one.

How Can You Help Keep This Accurate?

Tell us directly. Bin stores open, close, and change hours faster than most retail categories, and we can't catch every change on our own between checks.
